Mobile Golf Simulator Logistics in Utah: Travel, Setup and Your Venue

Golf to Go Events is based in Provo and travels to events across Utah County and Salt Lake County. Here is where we go, the space and power we need, and how we coordinate with your venue, so there are no surprises on the day.

Where we travel

The rule of thumb: a travel fee applies to events roughly 30 minutes or more from Provo. It varies with distance, and you see the exact number on your personalized invoice before you pay anything. Every city has its own page under Service Areas, and the full rates are on Pricing.

What we need at your event

Setup requirements for one Golf to Go Events simulator
RequirementDetails
Space (clearance) A flat area 13 ft wide, 20 ft long and 13 ft tall per simulator. Two simulators side by side need about 26 ft by 20 ft.
Tent size 12 x 16 x 10 ft. The rest of the footprint is room to stand, swing and walk around it.
Power One standard outlet per simulator. We do not carry a generator, so a spot with no power will not work.
Wi-Fi and cell service No Wi-Fi needed, but the spot needs some cell service.
Indoors or outdoors Either. Indoors, you need 13 ft of ceiling clearance. A cultural hall, gym, garage, courtyard, rooftop, backyard or corner of a parking lot all work.
Arrival and setup We arrive about an hour before guests. Setup takes about 45 minutes. It does not come out of your booked hours and costs nothing extra.
Takedown We pack up quietly after play ends and leave nothing behind.
Weather The tent is waterproof. If light rain starts after we are set up, we move our electronics out of the rain and wait a little while to see if it clears. We do not run the simulator in the rain, and if there is no adequate indoor space, we shut down. Name a covered backup when you book.

How we coordinate with your venue

  1. You tell us the venue and where the setup would go. A quick phone photo or the room's measurements is plenty.
  2. We confirm space, ceiling height and the outlet. If it does not fit, we say so up front.
  3. We agree on arrival and load-in time with you or your venue contact, so we are set up before the first guest walks in.
  4. We lock in a rain plan. A covered or indoor backup keeps your event going if the weather turns.
  5. You bring your banner, if you want your branding on the front of the enclosure, or we have one printed at cost. The front banner is the only place branding goes.
  6. We show up, run the whole event and pack up. Your coordinator gets one less vendor to manage.

Common questions about logistics

What if our venue has a low ceiling?

We need 13 feet of clearance for the simulator, so a low-ceilinged room will not work. A gym, cultural hall, large garage or covered outdoor space usually does. Send us the measurements and we will tell you.

Can the equipment stay overnight for a multi-day event?

Yes, if it is in a secured area. We leave the tent, turf and the rest of the setup in place overnight and take the electronics with us. Multi-day events are quoted directly, and because we only need a shorter daily setup and teardown, the quote reflects that.

Do we need to provide a generator or extension cord?

We do not carry a generator, so you need a standard outlet near the setup. Tell us how far the outlet is from where the simulator will go, and we will plan for it.

Can you handle a very large event?

Yes. For community events and large corporate retreats, we can set up two simulators side by side. That needs about 26 ft by 20 ft of flat space and an outlet for each simulator.
